Adobe releases Adobe Muse

The new software enables Web designers to create websites without writing code

By CBR Staff Writer

Adobe Systems has released Adobe Muse software that enables Web designers to create websites without writing code.

Previously available as a public beta, the new software simplifies planning, designing and publishing original HTML pages similar to creating layouts for print.

The new application includes master pages, built-in tools for interactivity, and offers access to more than 400 Web fonts through the Adobe Typekit service to help create professional websites.

Adobe Muse is available as a standalone subscription or as part of Adobe Creative Cloud membership, a new offering that provides creatives access to storage services, publishing services and creative applications, including the entire Adobe Creative Suite 6 product line.

It will help web designers add engaging, interactive elements such as slide shows and embed content from sources such as Google Maps and Facebook.

Users can now preview and test functionality of a website within Adobe Muse or create a temporary site and share the URL with clients for review.

When the site is ready to go live, designers can either host it using a third-party application or use Adobe’s hosting service.
