Adobe Systems has introduced Enterprise Edition of Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, a turnkey set of hosted software services and viewer technology to create, distribute, monetise and analyse digital magazines, newspapers and publications.

The new suite is designed to provide output for Android tablets including Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab, RIM PlayBook and iOS tablet devices.

The Enterprise Edition allows large publishers to implement a custom tablet publishing offering without disrupting existing publishing processes and infrastructure.

In addition, the offering allows publishers worldwide to implement a tailored digital publishing offering built on the foundation of Adobe Creative Suite 5 tools that integrate with the company’s Online Marketing Suite, existing backend editorial publishing platforms and third party subscription systems.

The Enterprise Edition of the Digital Publishing Suite features include: distribution service for the storage and fulfillment of digital issues to a wide variety of Android, iOS and RIM QNX devices; and analytics service to analyse and optimise editorial and advertising content.

Further, the suite provides Viewer Builder Service to preview, test and build publisher branded, signed viewers; E-commerce Service for the sale of content through mobile marketplaces; and Folio Producer Service to support upload of content directly from within InDesign CS5 software.

Adobe said that the Digital Publishing Suite integrates with Creative Suite 5 software, empowering designers with page layout capabilities for creating highly designed, engaging digital content that includes a new class of interactivity.
