ADMIRAL ITECH TO HELP BRITISH AEROSPACE TO DEVELOP THE STD-716 ATLAS LANGUAGE

Admiral ITech, the Stevenage-based subsidiary of Surrey’s Admiral Computing Group Plc is to help British Aerospace Plc develop the Std-716 Atlas language defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers in 1985: the UK Ministry of Defence has stated its commitment to Atlas by giving British Aerospace a contract to maintain and update the TYX Personal Atlas Workstation Software, distributed in Europe by Admiral ITech; the two companies will be responsible for answering Atlas queries, and will act as the design authority for Atlas software, as well as providing user guidance and training.
