Imprivata says the Hospital is integrating Imprivata OneSign to create a secure, flexible system for managing staff access to both local and national information.

Imprivata OneSign is a strong authentication solution that includes both nationally-managed applications and the hospital’s local applications.

Wayne Parslow, VP of European operations for Imprivata, said, With some critical applications no longer under the complete local control of the organization, managing user identities can be a real issue. Building a strong authentication solution such as Addenbrookes has will offer staff the greater flexibility they require while making accessing patient information more secure than was possible before.

The project has so far enrolled 200 of the most intensive users of IT, with the remaining staff to be added as part of a phased roll-out during 2006.
