Milpitas, California-based Adaptec Inc reports that the EISA bus SCSI-2 adaptor in Hewlett-Packard Co’s new Vectra 486/25T and 486/33T pebsonal computers is the result of a two-year development effort between the two. It supports conventional and digital audio tape, and CD-ROM as well as SCSI-2 disks. Adaptec says its AHA-1740 is the first EISA SCSI adaptor to support SCSI-2 kit.
