ACUITY SELLS iCHAT PRODUCT LINE TO KOZ.COM

By CBR Staff Writer

Acuity Corp, formerly iChat, has changed so much since changing its name that it now plans to sell its iChat product line and get out of the web-based social software business altogether. Acuity is now solely focused on providing internet-based customer service and support applications through its WebCenter product line (CI No 3,501). The buyer for iChat is Koz.com, which helps local media affiliates extend their real- world communities onto the net. Acuity says it has confidence in Koz.com’s ability to execute the transition and support the iChat community.
