Acuity Corp, formerly iChat, has changed so much since changing its name that it now plans to sell its iChat product line and get out of the web-based social software business altogether. Acuity is now solely focused on providing internet-based customer service and support applications through its WebCenter product line (CI No 3,501). The buyer for iChat is, which helps local media affiliates extend their real- world communities onto the net. Acuity says it has confidence in’s ability to execute the transition and support the iChat community.
