South San Francisco-based Actuate says that Korea Telecom has implemented its enterprise reporting Application platform as part of its customer intelligence initiative. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The first application to be rolled out will be internally focused, allowing users to create and present customized reports from Korea Telecom’s Web-based central traffic management and regional network management systems.
Korea Telecom also plans to develop dashboard reporting systems for its top-level executives and integrate the Actuate platform with its ERP and CRM systems.
Actuate cooperated with its main Korean partner Venturer Consulting on the project. Recently, both companies worked together to implement the Actuate 7 platform at Cho Hung Bank, one of Korea’s leading banks.
Actuate is aggressively targeting Asia-Pacific as an untapped market for its BI suite with some success. Earlier this month the company won a big contract with the Bank of China. The company has also launched a new development center in Shanghai and released a Chinese language version of its suite.
