Actuate eyes Japanese market

Business intelligence software provider Actuate Corp [ACTU] has bolstered its presence in Japan by signing new strategic alliance agreements with four local IT providers: NEC Nexsolutions (NEXS) Ltd; Fujitsu FIP Corp; Toshiba IT Solutions Corp; and IBM Japan Ltd.

The California-based firm said the four alliances would drive forward integration of its flagship Information Application Platform into its partner’s solutions and services offerings. For example, Toshiba Solutions is planning to integrate Actuate’s software into its SAP business solutions.
