Menlo Park, California-based Activision Entertainment, presumably still part of the company that now wants us to think of it as Mediagenic Inc will introduce a CD-ROM version of the Manhole, developed from its HyperCard-based version and providing an interactive journey of fantasy and wonder for children of all ages: the program takes up over 55Mb on the optical disk and supports interaction with the game, the while playing high quality music from the disk – and that part of the thing can be heard from any Compact Disk player; the new version needs a 1Mb Macintosh Plus, SE, II or IIx, an AppleCD SC or compatible drive and a Winchester, and the thing is out now at $60.
