Storage services provider for media and creative professionals Active Storage has introduced mMedia platform, a workflow storage offering for post and broadcast production.
The mMedia platform consists of an enhanced ActiveSAN high-performance metadata controller appliance, mRAID, mVault and an optimised management software.
The new mRAID storage provides the mMedia platform with a storage processing engine, CrossFlow cooling system, a swappable Environmental Processing Engine (ENV) and 48TB of storage capacity.
The new mVault provides the mMedia platform by integrating a staggering 180TB in an enclosure using 4U of rack space.
In addition, the mMedia platform allows content producers to deploy custom storage offerings with the integration and management software that lets them choose production tools, resulting in a media creation storage platform for storing and managing content from ingest to archive.
