ACT Logsys, part of the ACT Group Plc, has become a systems integrator for Syntax Inc: ACT Logsys will use Syntax’ TotalNet range of integrated personal computer networking products in its public sector contracts; the family includes LMServer for Unix, a Microsoft LAN Manager-compliant local area network operating system which facilitates the use of Unix with LanManager under both OSI and TCP/IP; Syntax Inc has opened its first European subsidiary, based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
