ACT BUSINESS SYSTEMS FORMALISES ITS BENCHMARKING RELATIONSHIP WITH GARTNER

By CBR Staff Writer

Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire-based ACT Business Systems Ltd and the Stamford, Connecticut-based Gartner Group Inc have announced a pan-European partnership agreement to offer a benchmarking service that measures information technology cost efficiency. The pact is in effect a confirmation of the benchmarking that the ACT Group Plc subsidiary has carried out with Real Decisions Corp over the past three years before the latter was acquired by Gartner last December. From Gartner’s point of view the agreement also aims at capitalising on the measurement and benchmarking that ACT had already carried out. The two firms say that the agreement will not affect their independence; Gartner will not hard sell ACT’s services and ACT will compete for any ensuing tenders on a competitive basis.
