Affiliated Computer Services has launched ACS Managed Mobility Services, a centralised solution for managing all aspects of smartphones, including procurement, security, expense, device and application management.
The company said that it will offer the new solutions to users all over the world through service providers, device manufacturers and distributors to allow a complete selection of plans and devices.
In addition, the company has entered into strategic and marketing alliances with nearly all carriers, Palm and other device manufacturers, Tangoe and other independent software vendors that enable ACS to be a full solution provider for Managed Mobility Services. These nexus reportedly provides remote users with a single cost-effective device that integrates into existing IT infrastructures.
The company said that it will integrate business process and information technology outsourcing services into ACS Managed Mobility. It expects that the new Managed Mobility would deliver ongoing cost savings of 15% to 20% to organisations around the world.
According to ACS, its new solution supports users through procurement portal, insurance, protection warranty, configuring, application management, deployment employee training and customer care.
It is also expected to provide data security for enterprise mobility, telecom expense management and advanced usage through dashboards, third-party and custom applications.
Chris Tranquill, managing director of communication and consumer goods group at ACS, said: Multinational companies operating in Europe lack a central source for pan-European coverage. CIOs are increasingly asked to support mobile workers regardless of their device, network, location, access or application.
“ACS Managed Mobility Services removes these headaches with a one-stop solution. It also integrates with existing technology to consolidate multiple devices into a single mobile device, supported through one management portal.
