ACS expands IT outsourcing relationship with Glaxo

IT services provider Affiliated Computer Services Inc on Monday announced a five-year, $100.5m server management contract with British pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, expanding ACS' overall outsourcing engagement with the drug maker.

By CBR Staff Writer

Under the new contract, ACS will provide management and monitoring services for more than 5,000 servers in the US and UK. The company will also handle facility and data center management at four Glaxo sites in the two countries.

In July 2003 Glaxo awarded ACS a five-year, $32m contract to support its legacy business systems, followed by a separate deal for a customized clinical trials support system in 2004.
