ACS will develop and operate a comprehensive Managed Care Information
System (MCIS) for Magellan’s TennCare contract. The MCIS is a mainframe-based
system with an optional graphical user interface. Additionally, ACS will
establish an administrative claims-processing organization to support Magellan
and operate the MCIS.
This is a win-win for both companies, said Harvey V. Braswell, President
of ACS’ State and Local Government Division. It is a partnership of two
first-rate organizations in the business of delivering health care solutions
to improve the level and quality of services to their clientele.
ACS’ knowledge of Magellan’s business and technical requirements will
assist Magellan in meeting our organizational goal to provide the best service
possible to our customers, said Clarissa C. Marques, Chief Administrative
Officer at Magellan.
