Acquisition Of Four Titles From Mortons Media Limited

COMPANY PRESS RELEASE: Johnston Press, one of the U.K.'s leading regional newspaper groups, announces the acquisition of four paid-four newspapers from Mortons Media Limited.

The titles, which include the Horncastle News series, the Louth Leader series, the Skegness News and the Market Rasen Mail, circulate in Lincolnshire.

The deal is subject to the approval of the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.

In the year ended 31 January 2000, the business generated sales of £1.8 million.

Attributable net assets at 31 December 2000 were £350,000.

The titles will be incorporated into the East Midlands Division of Johnston Press plc.
