Acer has announced the new H235H premium display and a new industrial design for its Aspire M5, M3 and X3 Series of consumer desktops.

The Aspire M5800 Series desktop line features a brushed metal chassis and a card reader; audio jacks and ports are located on the front of the chassis and are protected by a hinged door. Also, it features Intel CoreTM 2 Quad processor, up to 8GB memory, a 750GB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce GT230 graphics with 1.5GB video memory suited for viewing movies, playing games, enjoying digital music and photography.

Stephanie Eggert, senior manager of retail desktop product planning for Acer America, said: “The elegant new H235H display combines advanced technology and features for a supreme cinematic entertainment experience. Our newest Aspire desktops are a blend of visually appealing aesthetics and convenient functionality that’s sure to impress even the most selective buyers. Not only are the systems elegant in form, but they are efficient in function with user-friendly features that maximize time and space.”

The new desktops provide up to nine USB ports and multi-in-one card readers for connecting to a host of digital devices. In addition, the Aspire M3800 Series reportedly supports digital media and productivity applications. The 3D power/optical drive eject button is located at the top of the chassis, so that the users don’t have to reach down and around the unit to flip the power switch and use the optical drive.

Available in July, its new H235H 23-inch widescreen LCD features a 16:9 aspect ratio for HD support and a 1920×1080 resolution. The display also features SensorTouch technology and supports VGA and HDMI as well as DVI with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) for viewing digital movies, digital photos, PC files and copy protected content.
