Following the collapse of Dynamic Random Access Disk prices TI-Acer recently forecast its year end losses would amount to $90m (CI No 3,314). Taiwan has so far escaped the worst ravages of the current Asian economic crisis. Although eight inch wafer lines are becoming standard, Acer believes there is a significant amount of revenue left in producing six inch wafers.
