Acer Inc, Taiwan’s largest computer maker, said that its October sales reached around $317m, a monthly record representing a 34.6% year-on-year rise and a 20.1% increase from September. A company statement attributed the strong sales to rising demand for desktop and notebook computers in its annual top sales season. Sales for the first 10 months of the year were $2.32bn, up 43.6% year-on-year.
