Taiwan PC maker Acer Group Inc expects its sales to continue growing at 20% to 30% a year over the next few years to top $15,000m by 2000, Singapore’s Business Times said. The newspaper quoted Acer Group chairman and chief executive Stan Shih as saying Acer was gearing up to enter the consumer electronics sector and also new markets like China in a big way; it would also join a consortium to bid for a mobile phone license in Taiwan, it added; Acer group sales were $5,550m in 1995.
