The Somerset gang down in Austin claims that one of the top 10 personal computer vendors is currently designing a machine for release later this year that would take either the Digital Equipment Corp Alpha or the PowerPC 603 – it’s not Compaq Computer Corp or Dell Computer Corp – but there has been gossip, not completely denied, of Acer Group Inc doing such a machine.
