Acer Group Inc, Taipei, Taiwan is forming a joint venture company with Computec de Mexico SA, headquartered in Mexico City to assemble and market computers and peripherals in the Latin American and Caribbean markets; the equally-owned Acer-Computec Latino America SA results from the merging of Computec de Mexico, Acer’s local distributor, with Acer Latin America; it sees sales of $200m this year.
