Acer America Corp says it will support and integrate the 120Mb LS-120 SuperDisk diskette technology, co-developed by Imation Corp, Compaq Computer Corp, OR Technology Inc and Matushita-Kotobuki Electronics Industries Ltd (CI No 3,183). LS-120 drives can read current 1.44Mb and 720Kb floppy disks as well. Other supporters include NEC Corp, Siemens Nixdorf AG, Exabyte Corp, Mitsubishi Electric Corp, Samsung Co, Fujitsu ICL Ltd and Everex Corp.
