Acer has introduced new range of TravelMate P6 notebooks, which offers efficient performance, enhanced security and optimal manageability.
The new notebooks are available in three different format: 13.3, 14 and 15.6-inch, which are suitable for corporate users.
TravelMate P6 series features 3rd generation Intel Core processors with Intel vPro and AMT 8.0 technologies that allow in-house or outsourced IT to manage all software and hardware computing assets within the organisation. It also includes Intel HD Graphics 4000 that enables high-definition video.
Acer’s new range of notebooks comes with ProShield security, BioProtection Fingerprint application and Intel Anti-Theft technology.
ProShield security is a suite of security and manageability tools that integrates fundamental features in a unified user interface. It secures the notebook from unwanted access from BIOS level all the way up to application level.
BioProtection Fingerprint application includes pre-boot authentication and provides the first level of notebook protection securing the system from unauthorised access using biometric technology.
Integrating the fingerprint application with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) application ensures the integrity of the client platform as well as allows secure storage and reporting of security relevant metrics.
Acer Backup Manager secures important data from accidents or crashes, allowing data and files backup at ease, while Acer eRecovery Management provides recovery on-demand.
Intel Anti-Theft technology is a hardware-based security mechanism designed to protect user PC even when it is lost or stolen, while Absolute Data Protection (ADP) by Absolute Software allows users to track their PC if it’s lost or stolen.
Absolute Data Protection and Intel Anti-Theft technology allow users to remotely delete files or freeze the stolen notebook for retrieval and obtain the geo-location of their stolen notebook.
