Details leaked from the most anticipated Acer line-up

By Vinod

In a most anticipated line up from Acer at this year’s Computex, the company will roll out its first ever wearable device, the Liquid Leap, along with a new smartphone model, Liquid Jade.

Liquid Leap is also the smallest touch device by Acer, and features a linear design. With a slim 1-inch touch screen nestled in a durable rubber wristband for comfortable everyday usage, it is designed as a smart wearable device for active digital users who are looking to maximize their efficiency.

The wearable smartband tracks users’ fitness including steps, running distance, calories burned, and sleeping cycles. Additionally, it also displays incoming call and SMS notification, but viewing is all a user can do as it doesn’t allow to reply or take calls.

The user can access and control the music library through the music control function on their smartphone.

Light weight and stylish, Liquid Leap comes in a variety of colors: Moonstone White, Mineral Black, Aquamarine, Fragrant Pink, and Vivid Orange. Acer claims a battery life of up to 7 days with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and compliance to waterproof IPX7 standard ).

The chic, 7.5mm Liquid Jade smartphone is equipped with a 5-inch 720p IPS display set within the Zero Air Gap physical design, and features a curved ergonomic Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Running on Android 4.4, it features 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage as well as a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash that offers perfect opportunity to capture precious moments while the selfies can be enhanced by a 2-megapixels front-facing camera.

A key feature is its ability to be seamlessly integrated with other Acer PCs for accessing data anytime, anywhere through Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC), which enables users to build their own cloud with music, photos and other content on a reliable and secure platform.

Both Acer Liquid Jade and Liquid Leap will be available in select markets from Q3 2014.
