Acer America has revealed that it has incorporated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to its Acer Iconia Tab series of tablets.

The update would be made available to Iconia Tab A200 owners over-the-air, first in the US.

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 7-inch tablet and Acer Iconia Tab A500 10-inch tablet will both be updated in April.

The Acer Iconia Tab line will enable faster browser, enhanced app and folder management options, more intuitive navigation, and a new design that is more polished with enhanced holographic effects, the company said.

Acer America director product marketing — connected devices Paul Tayar said customers can more easily customise their Acer tablets and will enjoy improved multitasking and switching between tasks.

Android 4.0 brings customers with improved integration with Gmail’s email and calendar functions.

Acer said both video clips and photos can be enhanced on the fly, stored and searched for based on various tags, and stored on Google+.
