Acer launches new all-in-one Veriton Z2650G-UG645X desktop

The new desktop features TPM 1.2 compliant hardware, which will provide corporate-level security requirements

Acer has launched a new all-in-one (AIO) desktop, the Veriton Z2650G-UG645X, which is optimesd to run on Windows 8 Pro and Windows 7 Professional operating systems.

Veriton Z2650G-UG645X, which features a 20-inch widescreen LED display and claimed to be designed for commercial environments keeping in mind the space and aesthetics.

The 20-inch widescreen LCD display comes with an 1600 x 900 resolution and 5ms response time to provide clear presentations, spreadsheets and images.

Acer Veriton Z2650G includes TPM 1.2 compliant hardware, which will provide corporate-level security requirements and Acer Proshield, a single client console application that integrates key security and management features in a unified user interface.

The desktop includes One-Button Recovery (OBR) function that simplifies the back up and/or restore data.

It also has an encrypted hidden drive for confidential personal files, a file shredder to abolish sensitive content from the system, and a BIOS import and export tool that streamlines system management.

Acer Commercial Systems business manager Leila Axelle Robert said: "Our newest AIO is easy to set-up, deploy and manage with a simple all-in-one design, wake-on LAN support and a user-friendly utility suite for streamlining everyday IT tasks."

The new AIP desktop features Veriton ControlCenter, a user-friendly utility suite that features Acer Client Manager to deploy software and control users’ systems remotely, Acer eSettings Management to track and store users’ software preferences, QuickMigration to update and transfer personal data from one PC to another using a common network cable and SmartBoot to automatically load frequently used programmess in the system tray at start-up.

The system comes equipped with Intel Pentium G645 processor (2.9GHz), 500GB SATA hard drive and 4GB DDR3 SDRAM upgradeable to 8GB via two memory slots.

It aslo features two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a multi-in-one card reader for reading the vast array of media, a built-in 1.0 MP HD webcam, Gigabit Ethernet and wireless 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.

Acer’s new AIO desktop also includes Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Internet Explorer and McAfee Internet Security Suite.
