Acer Canada has extended multimedia notebook series, the Aspire AS8943G with new models AS8943G-3215 and AS8943G-5638, which are available throughout Canada at retail outlets.
The new models come with aluminium cover, which protects the frameless display, and feature a host of balanced contrasts, including glossy and matte finishes and silver and black accents; and the new chiclet style keyboard, which extends to a dedicated numeric keypad, the company said.
The new models feature CineCrystal 18.4inch edge-to-edge glass LED back-lit display with full high-definition (1080p) resolution; Dolby optimised Acer CineSurround sound system with five built-in speakers and a dedicated subwoofer; and a DVD super multi drive.
The company said that the Aspire AS8943G-3215 is powered by the Intel Core i5-430M Dual Core Processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, to provide advanced performance and system response, loaded with 4Gb of memory, and can support up to 8Gb for speed, while the AS8943G-5638 includes the Intel Core i3-350M Dual Core Processor.
Further, for gamers the new models come with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650 Graphics with 1Gb of dedicated video memory. Full DirectX 11 support enables gaming and 3D visual effects, and the dual hard drive support enables consumers to add another drive for backups or to increase their overall storage capacity.
The company said that the Aspire AS8943G Series includes 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi certified wireless for the Internet connection on move and ultra-quick Gigabit Ethernet for quick Internet connection at home.
