Stratus Computer Inc and AccessLine Technologies Inc have signed a strategic marketing and technology alliance for joint targeting of telecommunications carriers in the Personal Communications Services market. Bellvue, Washington-based Accessline is to base the next generation of its Personal Communications technology on Stratus’s fault-tolerant Unix computers, using the latter’s Intelligent Network Applications Platform development software. Additionally, Accessline has been appointed as a value-added reseller for Stratus in the US and Canada. The first system development resulting from the partnership is slated for launch this fourth quarter and will use Accessline’s One Person, One Number system for consolidating several telephone numbers into one.
