Delhaize Belgium has awarded Accenture a multi-year contract to support the implementation of an integrated supply chain enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, Accenture will collaborate with Delhaize Belgium to implement the new platform that will enable the retailer to standardise their supply chain transactions for improving their efficiency and productivity.
Accenture said that the program will also enable Delhaize to improve the management of the inventory in their datacentres, while reducing inventory costs. The company will also implement the GOLD offering from Aldata, a supplier of integrated business offerings.
Marc van der Net, senior executive of retail practice at Accenture, said: “Delhaize Belgium has a culture of quality, innovation and continuous improvement, and this program helps them improve their decision making.
