According to Accenture, the $100 million business processing outsourcing (BPO) deal has been forged with the aim of maximizing operational efficiencies and enhancing services. It will be implemented in several European countries starting with France, and roll-out is expected to be completed within the next six months.

Accenture has said that its Insurance Services business segment, which offers insurance BPO services to life, annuity, pensions and property and casualty insurers globally, will provide the services to AIG Europe, while the underwriting, policy and claims services will be supported by an IT platform using the company’s proprietary insurance solution software.

Serge Callet, global managing director of Accenture’s Insurance practice, said: Our center in Bucharest will provide high quality and cost competitive BPO services to AIG Entrepreneur for its operations in key markets in the EU.

He added: By combining our respective capabilities and skills, we look forward to helping AIG Entrepreneur innovate through a more industrialized operating model.
