IT consulting and services firm Accenture has signed a EUR12m (approx $16.5m) IT application services agreement with the European Parliament to develop, maintain and support a variety of applications across the Parliament’s operations.
Accenture will support the European Parliament’s overall information technology strategy and help the parliament to drive greater operational efficiencies across the institution.
Under the contract, Accenture will provide application development, maintenance and support for the European Parliament.
It will also oversee the development and integration of new applications across functional areas such as human resources, finance, logistics and administrative management.
Accenture Health & Public Service practice in Europe, Africa and Latin America managing director Sean Shine said for the European Parliament, Accenture will analyze, design, build, test and implement new functions and applications as a managed service over the next four years.
