Eyeing digital transformation in the retail sector, Accenture has finalised the acquisition of Javelin Group.

Accenture has said that the Javelin will be integrated into the business, becoming a distinct business unit within Accenture Strategy.

Javelin is a retail strategy consulting and digital transformation services provider, which Accenture will use for digital transformation in the retail space.

The acquisition will give Accenture a range of services including digital market assessment and potential evaluation, digital performance improvement, omni-channel retail planning, retail analytics, supply chain fulfilment and operations, according to the company.

It will also foster Accenture’s international expansion strategy, provide digital technology consulting, systems implementation, and support services.
