The ABS Computers Ltd unit of Trafalgar House Plc, and Zilog Inc have now formally announced that ABS has been appointed the master value-added reseller for Zilog’s System 8000 Unix machines, as reported here at the end of last year (CI No 581). The two companies say that the announcement was delayed in order not to upset any of the other UK Zilog Value-Added Resellers, who would no doubt have not taken too kindly to reading the news in the press first rather than hearing it from the horse’s mouth. The companies are delighted with the manner in which the the hand-over has been conducted, saying that none of the 10 functioning resellers has been lost.
