Able Computer Inc has launched a multi-drop distributed multiplexor called Mux Master that is designed for asynchronous systems including DEC’s MicroVAX and PDP processors and IBM and Prime kit: the product, which supports up to 16 cluster controllers and 128 terminal lines, includes a bit-slice microprocessor-based host interface that supports cable lengths of up to 2,000 feet and cluster controllers are available with 8 or 16 channels.
