ABERDEEN UNIVERSITY BUYS HONEYWELL BULL DPS8/70 MAINFRAME

The Aberdeen University Computer Centre is installing a Honeywell Bull DPS8/70 mainframe to run the CP6 operating system that was derived from the old CP/V Xerox Sigma executive: Aberdeen says it chose the system – the first CP6 installation in a UK university – for its user interface, quick response time in a multi-terminal environment running heterogeneous applications.
