Major Japanese software house ABC Corp is moving into packaged software, initially bringing in the Ease + Core nuclear power and Ease + Nexpert and eight other products from EES Corp of California: sales will be direct, through distributors and through value-added resellers, and ABC reckons it is getting in at the birth of an explosion in the market for packages in Japan – it has hitherto specialised in customised financial software.
