The Abacus airline reservation consortium of Cathay Pacific, Thai International and Singapore Airlines is forming a pan-Pacific alliance with the PARS system owned by Trans World Airlines and Northwest Airlines: the two systems will take cross-shareholdings in each other, and Abacus is also seeking an alliance with the European Amadeus system formed by a consortium led by Air France, Lufthansa, Iberia and Scandinavian Airline System.
