AAH HOLDINGS ORDERS POINT OF SALE TERMINALS FROM ICL

ICL Plc has signed a UKP2m contract to supply 500 new 9520 Series personal computer-based point-of-sale terminals to its long-standing customer AAH Holdings Plc: the systems are being procured as part of a project, called LINKPoS, to supply complete point-of-sale systems to independent pharmaceutical retail outlets; ICL is participating in the project alongside West Yorkshire software house PoS Halifax Ltd and Granada Group Plc’s maintenance contractor Granada Microcare, to provide the retail systems to AAH’s AAH Pharmaceuticals wholesaler; ICL’s part in the contract to date has involved supply of a Series 39SX mainframe – for UKP4.2m; 600 DRS M55 personal computers running AAH’s Linkage system for retail outlets; and 100 DRS 300 cluster controllers in branches.
