A UK flotation of shares in the TeleWest Ltd cable television partnership between US West Inc and Tele-Communications Inc, is possible although no firm plans have been made, US West told Reuter, responding to a story in the Independent on Sunday: I can confirm that Telewest have appointed Goldman Sachs and Kleinwort Benson to advise them on joint venture developments which would include a possible flotation, the company said; it declined to comment on a Financial Times report that US West was in talks about taking a large stake in contractor LWT (Holdings) Plc.
