The ATM Forum announced its 1995 board of directors, who took their seats on May 1. The new board is intended to span the range of parties interested in Asynchronous Transfer Mode, including end users, vendors, and representatives from the international community. Steve Walters of Bell Communications Research takes over as president and chairman; Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp’s Kenichi Aihara is the new vice-president with responsibility for Asia-Pacific management; vice-president of European operations is Siemens AG’s Falk Sass; Walter Gould of Computer Sciences Corp is the new vice-president with responsibility of user activities; Microsoft Corp’s Tim Kwok is now vice-president handling business development strategies; the new vice-president and corporate operations officer and treasurer is Dean Skidmore of IBM Corp; AT&T Corp’s John Swenson takes over as the new vice-president of industry liaisons and secretary; and Bell Atlantic Corp’s Kathy Szot is now the vice-president of committee operations and management.
