We’ve finally seen a list of who is paying $50,000 for the privilege of sitting on the newly formed Advanced Computing Environment Advisory Board: in addition to Unix Labs, Sony Corp, Silicon Graphics Inc and MIPS Computer Systems Inc itself, which holds the chair, it’s also got Acer Group, Compaq Computer Corp, Control Data Corp, Digital Equipment Corp, Seiko-Epson Corp, Microsoft Corp, NEC Corp, Ing C Olivetti & Co SpA, Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG, Tandem Computers Inc, Santa Cruz Operation Inc and Toshiba Corp, all of which seems to add up to a cool $800,000.
