The new features in the OS include a ‘Time Machine’ automatic backup system, visual improvements, and refinements to the Finder Search tool. It also enables its users to share files over multiple Macs.
Apple advertised Leopard as having more than a dozen new security features and tools. Anti-exploit memory randomization, application defense dubbed sandboxing, a guest account for shared machines and input managers with firm control were few of the new security features announced by Apple.
However, Apple had confirmed that Leopard’s installation has resulted in ‘blue screen’ problems for some of its customers. The company had advised installation of a third-party enhancement. It had also recommended its users to reinstall the complete operating system or use ‘line commands’ to boot the system properly.
With the launch of its new products, Apple has also faced problems with the hackers. There have been reports about the hacking of Leopard for installation on Windows-based PCs. Apple’s iPhone also faced the same issues with hackers identifying the way to ‘unlock’ the iPhone to work with networks other than AT&T.

This figure consisted of licenses sold to PC manufacturers, retailers, and upgrades ordered through the Windows Vista Express Upgrade program.
