Windows Sources magazine says that, now Intel has cut its Pentium Pro chip to virtually the same price as a Pentium, there was now no reason to buy a Pentium. It said furthermore that as high-clock speed Pentiums such as the 200MHz version were not giving a sufficiently proportional performance increase to justify purchase, it was now clear the Pentium has reached the end of its useful life.
