We’ll still have to guess how many came out of Santa Palomba and Guatemala, but Mid-Range Products Inc reports that 8,300 AS/400s were shipped from the Rochester, Minnesota plant during the fourth quarter – lots had already gone out earlier: the Deerfield Beach, Florida outfit hears that the company expects to ship 42,000 AS/400s from Rochester alone this year, which suggests that worldwide shipments during the year will hit 100,000 or more – but doesn’t that sound high?
