7.2Gb VERSION OF IBM 3380 WILL BE SHIPPING BY YEAR-END

The forthcoming 7.2Gb version of the IBM 3380 disk drive will be shipping by year-end, Electronic News says, despite the fact that the new version of the 3880 controller, snagged by microcode problems (CI No 740), will not be delivered until the first half of 1988.
