6MBYTE-PER SECOND CHANNELS – MUSCLE FLEXING BY HITACHI

The 6Mbyte-per-second channels represent little more than a muscle flexing by Hitachi and its resellers however – we understand that the current release of IBM’s MVS/XA cannot handle data transfer rates faster than 4.7Mbytes per second, which is probably why Amdahl Corp chose to offer 4.5Mbyte channels.
