As the enterprise mobility market continues to grow, a lot of the major players are working together to combine their expertise and assets. CBR rounded up some of the biggest current partnerships.

1. Apple and IBM

This prolific partnership between IBM and Apple was first formed in July 2014. Since then, it has produced 22 IBM MobileFirst for iOS apps targeted at healthcare, travel, energy, law and banking and finance. The most recent offerings include Hospital RN for iPhone, which helps healthcare staff gain access to patient records through iPhones. It uses iBeacon technology to identify patients’ rooms.

2. Microsoft and HP

Microsoft and HP’s is one of the longest-running partnerships on this list, clocking in at an impressive 30 years. While the collaboration spans a wide range of areas, they have produced a range of solutions for the enterprise mobility market. One example is HP Networking and Microsoft Lync, a unified communications solution which combines the messaging platform with HP Networking’s FlexNetwork architecture.

3. VMware and Capgemini

The existing strategic partnership between virtualisation experts VMware and services firm Capgemini was extended in September 2014 into the domain of enterprise managed mobility and end-user computing. The Capgemini Managed Mobility Services offering powered by VMware sees AirWatch EMM software bundled with Capgemini Mobile Solutions services, with an initial focus on cloud solution models offered as off-premise hosted options or on-premise cloud models.

4. Dell, Apperian and Kony

Dell announced its partnerships with the enterprise mobile app management platform Apperian and mobile app development platform Kony in August 2014. Dell customers will benefit from help in developing, deploying and managing their apps. The Apperian and Kony offerings are available through Dell’s Business Innovation Services portfolio, which provides mobility, social media, cloud and analytics solutions to customers.

5. Samsung and Centrify

Samsung has invested heavily in building up its devices‘ credentials in the enterprise market, although Apple handsets remain the preferred choice for companies. Samsung enhanced its Knox Enterprise Mobility Management service with Centrify bringing identity and access management to the platform. Samsung embeds the solution on all its devices and splits the subscription fees with Centrify.
