4ipnet, a networking device provider for wireless access, has unveiled HSG300 with 3×3 MIMO 802.11a/b/g/n, a dual-band wireless hotspot gateway with gigabit ethernet ports.
According to 4ipnet, the new offering features 802.11n wireless performance with data rates of up to 300Mbps, 802.3af standard PoE support, IP50 dust-proof metal housing and technologies Wireless Layer 2 Firewall and 4ipWES Press-n-Connect.
The HSG300 gateway is built-in with 3×3 MIMO Dual-Band 802.11a/b/g/n access point and 1 WAN / 4 LAN Gigabit ports; and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and dual-band operation. It offers deployment flexibility and compatibility for hybrid apps and features WES Press-n-Connect for WDS Easy Setup that enables hotspot owners to expand their networks.
The HSG300 embodies security features that include WEP, WPA/WPA2, Layer 2 client isolation, SPI firewalls, and a proprietary Wireless Layer 2 Firewall. The Layer 2 Firewall blocks security breaches such as ARP spoofing, password sniffing, DHCP spoofing, and other malicious attacks commonly found in public wireless environments, 4ipnet said.
In addition, the new offering in combination with Hotspot Ticket Generator Combo Set (SDS100 + POS Printer) streamlines on-demand account creation and billing. The SDS100 Smart Device Server features capabilities to generate on-demand accounts and can instruct the POS Printer to print corresponding account tickets, the company said.
