43% OF US HOUSEHOLDS OWN A PC

By CBR Staff Writer

Personal computers are now part of the furniture in 43% of US households, and a further 10.2% plan to buy one in the next six months, according to Dataquest. Figures have risen from 35% a year ago, and the analyst group is attributing this partly to the advent of PCs priced under the $1,000 mark, and few PCs purchased by US households are $2,000 or above.
